A nonfiction essay piece regarding subcultural movements and their roles in a society entering the throes of fascism and authoritarianism. Comparing the burlesque movement in Weimar Germany before the rise of the Nazi Party as shown in Kander and Ebb's musical Cabaret, to today's current underground scenes during the era of the Trump Administration. Featured in the Spring/Summer 2025 issue of INDEX Magazine.

A nonfiction essay piece on diva worship and American celebrity culture. Examines what American society requires of its “it-girls”: The price of fame, how the media and fans consume celebrities, and an indictment of American capitalism. Featured in the Autumn 2024 issue of Gauge Magazine.
"Revolution on the Dance Floor: Disco as an Anti-Establishment Movement"
Role: Author
An argumentative essay piece on how disco should be remembered as an ideologically anti-establishment movement, and respected in the same vein as other countercultural genres such as punk music and folk music.
